About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and uptime of production equipment across the facility. This role executes preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnoses mechanical issues, and delivers timely, effective repairs to support continuous operations. Success is measured through equipment uptime, responsiveness, maintenance execution, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of progressive experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems to support production uptime
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability under pressure
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and production equipment
  • Experience executing preventative maintenance programs
  • Solid understanding of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience with maintenance tools and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Trade certification or post-secondary education in Millwright / Industrial Maintenance (Red Seal considered an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and facility systems across processing and packaging operations
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities including inspections, lubrication, and component replacement (belts, filters, etc.)
  • Set up, dismantle, and relocate processing and packaging equipment as required
  • Support equipment modifications for new product initiatives
  • Diagnose and resolve routine and complex mechanical issues with a focus on minimizing downtime
  • Respond promptly to equipment issues, supporting operational needs with a team-first mindset
  • Perform maintenance on custodial and facility equipment (motors, belts, assemblies)
  • Complete general facility maintenance and minor construction work as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical and electrical rooms
  • Complete work orders, documentation, and parts ordering accurately
  • Support other trades and cross-functional teams as needed
  • Execute lockout/tagout procedures and participate in safety inspections
  • Works safely and follows legislated and established safe work procedures and practices
  • Other duties as assigned in adherence to CCC GMP policies
