About The Position

Galloway Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright Journeyman to support its 24/7 dairy processing operations. This high-visibility position performs plant-wide mechanical and welding maintenance and involves daily interaction with people at all levels of the organization. Duties include purchasing equipment; installing new systems and equipment; handling and transferring chemicals; maintaining equipment in the field; and troubleshooting equipment throughout the plant, including boilers. The role also requires understanding dairy processing systems, water systems, and steam processes, along with both theoretical and practical dairy processing knowledge. The successful candidate will perform high-level maintenance on equipment, work with outside services and suppliers, communicate effectively, handle pressure, work with managers, participate in meetings, and understand current technology in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Hold a completed Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright Journeyman card.
Successfully complete the maintenance operator assessments to be considered for the position.
Have past maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Be able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to handle pressure and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance experience in food or beverage processing is preferred.
