About The Position

Galloway Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright Journeyman to support its 24/7 dairy processing operations. This is a high visibility role requiring plant-wide mechanical and welding maintenance. The position involves performing all activities of the maintenance department, interacting with all levels of the organization, and handling tasks such as equipment purchase, installation of new systems and equipment, chemical handling and transfer, field maintenance of all equipment, and troubleshooting plant-wide equipment, including boilers. The role also requires an understanding of dairy processing systems, water systems, steam processes, and the ability to perform a high level of maintenance on all equipment. Additionally, the position involves working with outside services and suppliers, communicating effectively, handling pressure, working with managers, functioning in meetings, and understanding the latest technology in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Must hold a completed Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright Journeyman card.
Must successfully complete the maintenance operator assessments.
Past maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably food/beverage processing.
Must be able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends and holidays).

Responsibilities

Perform plant wide mechanical and welding maintenance.
Purchase equipment.
Install new systems and equipment.
Handle chemical handling and transfer.
Perform field maintenance of all equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment plant wide, including boilers.
