About The Position

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic III or IV to support a highly automated manufacturing operation in Mason. This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting upcoming equipment and product changeovers. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership of the equipment they work on, learns quickly in an on-the-job training environment, and is comfortable working independently across shifts with limited direct supervision. The shift we currently have available is 4pm to 12am, and within 6 months the shift will change to a 12 hour rotating schedule on overnights.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with industrial electrical systems (motors, controls, sensors, automated equipment)
  • Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Willingness and ability to perform both electrical and mechanical work
  • Proven ability to learn equipment through on-the-job training
  • Self-starter mindset with strong accountability and pride in workmanship
  • Commitment to working safely at all times

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting automated or highly mechanized manufacturing equipment
  • Background in heavy industrial or automotive-style environments
  • Experience supporting equipment startups, new installations, or major changeovers
  • Technical degree or formal electrical training (not required, experience considered)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing equipment, with a strong focus on industrial electrical systems
  • Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including physically demanding repairs
  • Restore equipment safely and efficiently during breakdowns, prioritizing safety and production impact
  • Learn new and existing equipment quickly, especially during upcoming product and equipment transitions
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce repeat failures and improve reliability
  • Work independently and responsibly across shifts, managing priorities without constant supervision
  • Communicate effectively with production and other maintenance team members
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices
  • Treat equipment, downtime, and materials as if they were your own
