About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors systems, and hydraulic systems or tools. This role involves diagnosing machine malfunctions, rebuilding machines, and overhauling components. The position also includes performing preventive maintenance and potentially repairing electrical equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent GED
2 years of related experience in an industrial environment

4 years of related experience
Electrical Certificate
Background in PLC's and electronics
Electrical Robotics, ABB and Fanuc
Background in Die Cast or Plastic injection
Strong trouble shooting skills

Responsibilities

Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments by dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Provide maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
May repair electrical equipment.
