About The Position

We have an exciting position open in Eatontown, NJ Maintenance Mechanic II, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position maintains electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery to ensure machines operate properly and within set specifications; refers advanced troubleshooting or repairs to Maintenance Mechanic.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical certificate or technical training required.
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Good vision to perform visual inspections.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, have high energy levels and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift, 1 to 2 times every 4 hours.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
  • Ability to climb steps.
  • Ability to hear warning signals/verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English in order to effectively communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues.
  • Ability to read various inspection gauges.
  • Basic math and PC skills.
  • Fluent in the Airless, pump room and ECNV production lines.

Nice To Haves

  • Must obtain minimum of Associates Degree within reasonable amount of time from accredited technical program to progress to a Maintenance Mechanic Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, perform maintenance, set up and troubleshoot production machinery independently.
  • Help with parts and tooling change overs.
  • Read inspection gauges.
  • Communicate engineering issues and create work requests.
  • Track and enter work orders via TPM EDGE.
  • Provide on the job training to Maintenance Mechanics Level I (C-Techs).
  • Operate and drive a forklift (must be certified).
  • Open work orders and issue parts.
  • Clean, inspect and lubricate high speed equipment.
  • Rebuild machine/mechanical components.
  • Perform restorative maintenance.
  • Perform safety checks on production machinery and be responsible for following lockout procedures.
  • Be responsible for product safety and the quality of goods produced.
  • Print and interpret production schedules.
  • Fill in as Team Lead when necessary.
  • Complete and email production log as required.
  • Actively participate in safety training and Mechanical procedures.
