We work directly with 20+ municipalities and 50+ jurisdictions, operate highly regulated facilities in 10+ locations, and have 1,000+ employees. We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Mechanic I to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 14207 Del Monte Blvd. in Marina and some job-related travel may be required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with heavy equipment
- ASE Certification on electrical, diesel or CNG engines
- ASE Certification on preventative maintenance
- Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Nice To Haves
- Welder certification or experience preferred
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide full-service preventative maintenance to Company equipment including trucks, trailer, loaders, forklifts, carts, bins debris boxes and associated equipment
- Ability to read and document paperwork for maintenance, inspections and other work orders. Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions.
- Maintain an accurate log of all work performed
- Ability to use electric welder and gas/acetylene torch
- Maintain a current and valid commercial driver’s license (Class B) and medical certificate
- Adhere to Company procedures, safety protocols and company policies.
