About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic in the HVAC Shop performs a variety of duties involving the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of four years’ related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
Requires LP Gas certification within 6 months of hire.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee may occasionally be required to lift more than 50 pounds.
Must be able to carry equipment and tools up and down steps.
The employee must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Will be assigned a variety of functions (HVAC Maintenance & Repair).
Will perform a variety of functions.
Must have extensive knowledge of industrial heating and cooling systems, boilers and pumps.
Must have electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
Installation of a variety of equipment.
Repair of a variety of equipment.
Maintenance of a variety of equipment.
Ensure quality work performance.
Ensure Project initiatives.
Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.
Other duties as assigned.
