About The Position

This role functions as an Ink Production Employee, performing responsibilities within the Ink Combination position as needed by business requirements. The position involves assisting in the maintenance, operation, and repair of plant equipment, facilities, and capital projects. It also includes preparing and maintaining maintenance records, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and communicating effectively with the Production Supervisor and Lead Maintenance Mechanic. The role supports waste and process improvement initiatives, assists in coordinating contractors and vendors, and contributes to capital planning for new equipment purchases and modifications. The position requires willingness to work overtime and flexible hours, including alternative shifts, and other duties as specified by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 5% of time for projects at off-site locations and training
  • Safety focused and adherence to corporate safety policy

  • Must be able to lift a 50-pound container

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on medium to heavy manufacturing machinery preferred
  • Ability to perform plumbing work and background as a qualified electrician

Responsibilities

  • Work as an Ink Production Employee as qualified and needed per business requirements in all responsibilities of the Ink Combination position
  • Help drive plant and offsite blend plant, safety and operational improvement efforts
  • Provide assistance in maintaining, operating and repairing plant equipment, facilities and capital projects
  • Accurately prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork as needed
  • Maintain a positive relationship with key stakeholders including: customers, manufacturing, customer service and sales support.
  • Effectively communicate with Production Supervisor and Lead Maintenance Mechanic through active participation in production meetings, project planning meetings, maintenance priority meetings and safety meetings
  • Assist in coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed
  • Assist in capital planning process for the business and give input on new equipment purchases and major modifications of existing equipment
  • Support waste and other process improvement initiatives utilizing structured problem solving and employee engagement to yield positive results
  • Direct as needed, other team members for project planning and completion at the plant and offsite plants
  • Willing to work Overtime and flexible hours to include alternative shifts as needed
  • Other duties as specified by Supervisor
