About The Position

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic Electrician with strong electrical troubleshooting experience to join our team in Dawson, MN. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance work, diagnosing electrical issues, and keeping critical plant equipment operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and preventative maintenance programs in a manufacturing or processing environment.

Requirements

  • Valid MN state Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong emphasis in electrical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Experience with motors, electrical controls, relays, sensors, VFDs, and PLC troubleshooting preferred
  • Mechanical, construction, or manufacturing maintenance experience helpful
  • Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, computer printouts, and equipment specifications
  • Skilled in operating forklifts, bobcats, and end-loaders
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Perform electrical maintenance on motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, VFDs, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
  • Complete preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and systems
  • Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment by analyzing problems and determining required materials or parts
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications
  • Fabricate plant items using welders, torches, band saws, presses, and other shop tools
  • Maintain plant sanitation and safety standards
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
