About The Position

In our position Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of food manufacturing plant equipment and systems. We are willing to train the right candidate for the essential functions. Basic hand tools are required. Hands-on repair and minor metal fabrication experience for machinery repair. Preventive maintenance on machinery. Inventory monitoring for maintenance supply’s. Maintain work orders. Work with all Plant personnel. Special projects. Make recommendations to solve maintenance related problems. Ensure that all job tasks are performed in compliance with all food safety and quality management system rules, procedures, policies and guidelines. Other tasks as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

  • Ability to work assigned hours
  • Availability for 24/7 on call duty
  • Proficient in maintaining and repairing production related equipment and systems
  • Proficient at managing maintenance projects
  • Proficient with chemicals and SDS instructions
  • Ability to efficiently communicate in English language
  • Basic computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word
  • 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

  • AA Degree, or Certificate in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology, or other related field preferred
  • Welding, electrical, and low voltage experience preferred
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the same expertise
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Food manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
