About The Position

We are seeking a versatile 2nd shift team member who enjoys troubleshooting and machine repair in an industrial setting. We are expanding our team and hiring! This role involves repairing and maintaining buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment, including performing electrical functions. Essential duties include observing mechanical devices to locate trouble, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, and repairing and maintaining equipment according to specifications using various tools. The role also involves installing special functional and structural parts, potentially operating metalworking tools, completing training on new and existing equipment, and having general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC, and hydraulics. Compliance with quality, ISO, and OSHA standards is required. Specific electrical duties include testing electrical equipment and controls, assembling and testing motor control devices, and diagnosing electrical or mechanical malfunctions. Lockout/tagout training and the ability to train others are also necessary.

Requirements

5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical machine control and/or PLCs
5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with welding/metal fabrication
5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with manufacturing environment
5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical or electronic equipment and components; read and understand electrical and machine schematics.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
Computer skills – able to navigate various software, including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems.
US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements)

Nice To Haves

Two-year technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance
Familiarity of NEMA standards and UL Listings practices
Master Electrician License or similar
Experience with welding, robotic welding or metal forming equipment including bending, cutting or roll forming.

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment, to include performing electrical functions.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
Repairs and replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts.
May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Completes training on new and existing equipment.
May specialize in one or more of the following areas, but would not be required to have specialized knowledge in all areas: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC and hydraulics. In all cases would have general knowledge of all areas.
Complies with all quality and ISO standards and OSHA standards.
Applies electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment and controls circuitry to determine causes of malfunction.
Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals.
Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
Must have lock out tag out training and able to train other technicians.
