The Maintenance Mechanic duties include install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment while following all work practices and procedures. Technicians will ensure and help maintain a safe work environment, while supporting the internal customer to achieve the sites business goals and objectives. This role supports the packaging lines by making routine and non-routine adjustments that ensure a high quality product. It involves collaborating with other departments, performing preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments. The position requires the ability to systematically gather and analyze information, identify implications, draw conclusions, generate solutions, and evaluate consequences. It also requires the ability to assert personal ideas and opinions ethically and to define, diagnose, and resolve problems. The mechanic provides guidance to others through responding to questions, observing work, giving direction, and providing on-the-job training. Leadership and cross-functional teamwork with Project Management, Planning, Engineering, and Production are critical for new product launches and ongoing production. The role focuses on OEE improvements (rate, yield, utilization) and efforts to minimize downtime, mitigate defects, and eliminate waste. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders, adhering to PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, and performing other assigned duties.
