About The Position

Join our team at Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health in Tukwila! As a Maintenance Mechanic 2 within the Maintenance & Operations Division, you’ll perform skilled maintenance, repair, and modification work that helps keep our buildings, facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems safe and operational. You’ll use your knowledge of areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC controls to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service needs. Your work is essential to maintaining a safe, functional environment for the people and staff we serve. This position will be primarily stationed at Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health in Tukwila, with additional support provided to Lake Burien Transitional Care Facility in Burien, WA.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED AND Four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work OR Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanical trade.

  • Knowledge and skill in building maintenance, repair, remodeling, and construction.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC controls, and other related mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems and perform preventive and emergency repairs safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and the ability to monitor and maintain building, equipment, and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance, repair, remodeling, and modification of buildings, facilities, equipment, machinery, and related systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems and fixtures, including valves, drains, basins, faucets, air conditioning, laundry, and kitchen equipment.
  • Repair and remodel building components, including walls, floors, roofs, furniture, light fixtures, and interior finishes; paint sheetrock and other surfaces as needed.
  • Apply working knowledge of multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC controls, to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Monitor safety and fire protection equipment and follow established safety rules, precautions, and procedures.
  • Respond to service requests and take preventive and emergency action to address equipment or building malfunctions.
  • Enter work order information into the Asset Planner system to track labor and materials, perform Maintenance Mechanic 1 duties as needed, and complete other assigned work.
