This position works in a manufacturing environment and is responsible for maintaining production machines, equipment, and facilities performance. The role involves performing routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The Maintenance Mechanic will diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and perform preventative maintenance. They will also be responsible for reading and interpreting equipment manuals, using various tools, and reporting issues to the maintenance supervisor. Compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean work area are essential. The role also includes training coworkers, daily work reporting in CMMS, and collaborating with colleagues on different shifts for smooth handovers. The ability to adapt to varying shift lengths and workdays, including 8-12 hour shifts and weekends, is required.
