About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic 1, you perform semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alteration, and construction of buildings, facilities, and equipment. You perform general maintenance on both interior and exterior building systems, and you collaborate with other trades and crafts to support new construction and remodeling projects. This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and two years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, Painting, or HVAC/Control repair fields of work.
