About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment. This includes tasks such as repairing broken parts, reading schematics, completing work orders, and installing new equipment. The role also involves maintaining a clean work environment and performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent required.
• 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field or vocational certificate/training.
• Knowledge of mechanical skills.
• Skills in welding and cutting.
• Mental factors: Decision making and reasoning, planning and scheduling.
• Ability to speak, understand, and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment, including welders, grinders, and cranes.
• Repair broken parts using hand tools and welding equipment in compliance with safety policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose problems.
• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Complete installation of new equipment and provide other areas of improvement in line with facility’s maintenance plans.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
