About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and servicing stationary and mobile equipment. This includes repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and air conditioners. The role involves examining mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble, disassembling machines to repair or replace broken parts, adjusting functional parts, and cleaning and lubricating parts. The mechanic will also order replacement parts, inspect completed repairs, and perform all work in accordance with safety procedures. Additionally, they will requisition new parts and equipment and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Safely complete other assigned training.
  • Safely meet the supervisor’s standards of performance.
  • Safely fill in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands.
  • Safely replace or assist other workers as needed.
  • Safely perform other tasks as assigned by supervision or designated lead person.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willing to work weekends and on call hours
  • 5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts
  • Regularly required to stand, frequently required to walk and occasionally required to sit.
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Talk or hear.
  • Taste or smell.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
