About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and servicing stationary and mobile equipment. This includes repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and air conditioners. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, disassembling machines, repairing or replacing broken parts, adjusting functional parts, and cleaning and lubricating components. The mechanic will also order replacement parts, inspect completed repairs, and perform all work in accordance with safety procedures. Additionally, the position requires requisitioning new parts and equipment, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Willing to work weekends and on call hours
5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Willing and able to work rotating shifts

Responsibilities

Inspecting, repairing, installing, and servicing of stationary and mobile equipment
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
Cleans and lubricates parts
Orders replacement parts
Inspects completed repairs
Performs all work in accordance with safety procedures
Requisitions new parts and equipment
Safely complete other assigned training
Safely meet the supervisor’s standards of performance
Safely fill in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands
Safely replace or assist other workers as needed
Safely perform other tasks as assigned by supervision or designated lead person
