Maintenance Mechanic 1
About The Position
Premier Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 1 to maintain and repair corrugated manufacturing machinery. The role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses equipment issues, makes mechanical and electrical repairs, and keeps accurate maintenance records. The mechanic also collaborates with machine operators, production supervisors, and other maintenance technicians and may participate in equipment upgrade projects. The posting lists first shift as 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday through Friday and third shift as 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The position is identified as third shift in the job details. Expected hours are 40 per week, with overtime when needed. Pay is $22.06–$31.08 per hour, paid biweekly.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Lift up to 25 pounds alone and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Be familiar with corrugated manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Be proficient in preventive maintenance, machinery troubleshooting, and repair.
- Be able to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Be able to use hand and power tools effectively.

- Technical education or certification in maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on corrugated manufacturing machinery to support equipment reliability and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues to identify root causes.
- Repair malfunctioning machinery, including replacing parts and components.
- Perform repairs on electrical components such as motors, sensors, and switches.
- Replace faulty electrical parts and ensure they are compatible with existing systems.
- Collaborate with machine operators, production supervisors, and other maintenance technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.
- Participate in equipment upgrade projects to enhance machinery capabilities.
