Under the supervision of the Construction & Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic 1 independently performs a variety of responsibilities that include general maintenance, repair, remodeling, and construction duties. This position will utilize a working knowledge of several related skills, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting, and machinist work. This position will also install, repair, inspect, and maintain physical facilities (i.e., buildings, facilities, and grounds), machinery, and equipment within the Battle Ground Area. This position is not eligible to telework, as physical in-office presence is required to perform essential functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and will be an outstanding team player. Any previous work with small engines, basic vehicle maintenance and building/facilities maintenance will be beneficial.
