Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • On the job training
  • Possess good mechanical skills, troubleshooting skills, general maintenance, and good understanding of operation of production machinery.
  • Requires knowledge of machinery, mechanisms, pneumatics, bearings, gears, seals, sprockets, belts and vari-drives.
  • Possess basic electrical skills to include troubleshooting of small HP motors and electrical control circuits on production line and auxiliary equipment.
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics for basic AC circuits.
  • Consistently applies effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Interprets and understands engineering drawings, manufacturer’s instructions, and plant maintenance procedures and specifications.
  • Able to use and show proper care of tools and instruments required in job assignments.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to GMP and operational policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to plant attendance policies.
  • Completes assigned work orders on a timely basis to include scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains a low level of downtime on equipment and/or systems in area of responsibility.
  • Solves repetitive problems in area of responsibility.
  • Become familiar with spare inventory system. How to adjust, issue, ship and order inventory parts in the crib. Assist with issuing of parts from the crib. Become familiar with computer system.
  • Interprets and understands manufacturer’s instructions and plant maintenance procedures and specifications. Reference material and manuals on file in plant.
  • Obtain parts either through supply crib or fill out purchase requisition for parts required with crib part number or location and team leader’s approval. To repair units and follow up on order’s as required.
  • Keep records of parts required to repair units.

  • Maintain confidential information on recipes.
  • Report all deviations from the recipe.
