The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act are observed by employees. This includes planning the necessary resources in manpower and budgeting to accomplish site safety goals in the PaSSE and SHARP plans. The role involves interfacing with MSHA/MOL and other governing health and safety agencies, participating in daily production meetings, and preparing and implementing training plans. The manager will ensure the Management System is effective and understood by all employees, actively participate in weekly scheduling meetings, and have a good understanding of the maintenance modules under the CMMS/SAP system. Responsibilities include ensuring correct and timely reporting of information on all maintenance Work Orders, ensuring maintenance personnel perform quality work, overseeing the execution of the daily maintenance plan, and making necessary arrangements to keep the plant running during breakdowns. The role also involves routinely monitoring key performance indicators, providing feedback to the maintenance team, and initiating solutions. A key aspect of the role is to lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
