The Maintenance Manager will actively supervise employees in the everyday coordination, execution, and planning of maintenance efforts, including a 24/7 maintenance team. This role involves reporting to the Site Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant, providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities. The manager will initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program, implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas, and manage machine reliability initiatives. This position requires managing adequate inventories of spare parts and purchasing materials, parts, and supplies as required. The role also involves troubleshooting and solving problems, making data-driven decisions, and identifying and proactively addressing potential safety issues. Planning, scheduling, and monitoring the timely completion of maintenance work orders are key responsibilities. Maintaining good working relationships with plant management, supervisory staff, and hourly employees, along with good housekeeping practices and continuous positive communication, are essential. The role also includes participating in safety and environmental audits.
