About The Position
The Maintenance Manager oversees facility maintenance for the entire apartment community. This is a working supervisory position involving a wide variety of preventive maintenance and repair responsibilities. Rotating on-call shifts are required. The role includes supervising and mentoring maintenance staff, coordinating assignments and work procedures, inspecting completed work, and managing inventory and requisitions. Requirements
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Direct experience in residential facility maintenance.
- Strong supervision, troubleshooting, communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee facility maintenance for the entire apartment community.
- Perform a variety of preventive maintenance and repair work.
- Effectively delegate assignments.
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet schedules.
- Implement changes to increase productivity.
- Mentor new and current maintenance staff.
- Inspect the quality of completed work.
- Control inventory and prepare requisitions.
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts.
