About The Position

The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance team in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role oversees equipment repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. The position includes managing capital projects, improving equipment and processes, coordinating vendor and contractor work, and maintaining critical facility systems. The Maintenance Manager also oversees purchasing, budgeting, and documentation, while developing staff, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production growth. This position requires on-site presence and is not eligible for remote work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Mechanical and electrical experience required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, pipe fitting, pneumatics, and blueprint reading
  • Basic computer, documentation, and purchasing skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to equipment and budgeting

Nice To Haves

  • technical or engineering background preferred
  • Welding, forklift operation, equipment rigging, and carpentry skills are preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to train employees and collaborate cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel; ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee equipment and facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability programs
  • Manage facility systems (grounds, fire protection, safety systems) and ensure compliance with local and state codes
  • Plan and execute capital projects, including cost estimation, equipment evaluation, and implementation
  • Design and improve equipment, processes, and facility layouts to enhance efficiency and safety
  • Oversee installation of new equipment and systems
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality and compliant work
  • Purchase and track parts, supplies, and equipment; ensure accurate documentation and invoice processing
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and EHS to support production goals
