The Maintenance Manager oversees, plans, and issues work orders for equipment modifications, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. This role involves preparing and coordinating maintenance resources, providing recommendations for capital and continuous improvement projects, and reviewing equipment operations with personnel to identify maintenance issues related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Customer Satisfaction. The manager will review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to recommend improvements in plant operations, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and maintenance problem resolution. Responsibilities include tracking and improving the Maintenance department's KPIs, conducting routine inspections to enhance production equipment reliability, and developing supplier/contractor relationships for timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. The role also involves engaging employees in problem resolution using Lean Manufacturing techniques, fostering a positive working environment, and driving the Maintenance team to meet productivity targets. Fabrication and modification of equipment as necessary, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring monthly maintenance expenses are also key duties. The manager will maintain accurate records, assist in recruitment, and ensure proper training for maintenance employees, identifying and addressing training gaps.
