About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will develop and execute a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program including standardizing maintenance processes to drive asset reliability and uptime while leading and supporting capital improvement projects. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for executing a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program while leading a cost effective, service-oriented team supporting the facility and manufacturing operations in achievement of plant KPIs. The Maintenance Manager supports all plant departments in driving the realization of “Safety as a Condition”.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience at a manufacturing company a plus.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Safety Regulations; certifications are a plus.
  • Supervisory/Personnel Management experience required.
  • Computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong time management and project management skills and with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong analysis & problem solving skills - ability to collect, assess and interpret relevant information and make sound decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides scope of work, cost of project calculations, and execution of work in complex capital projects.
  • Develops maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage, lead, and develop technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective repair and maintenance of facility assets.
  • Communicates to Senior Leadership any deadlines or issues within the maintenance department on a regular basis.
  • Provide leadership and training tools for the maintenance department to increase overall maintenance capabilities.
  • Create high performance work teams in the maintenance department that will use root cause problem solving methods to resolve issues.
  • Develop an ongoing training program for maintenance technicians.
  • Facilitate communication and execution of facility projects with Engineering and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Develop improvement processes for the parts and planning system. This includes approving parts requisitions for the plant.
  • Meet human resource objectives by assisting in selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
  • Develops function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
