About The Position
American Wood Fibers (AWF) is a manufacturer of both consumer and industrial products that are sold to multiple manufacturers as well as pet, agricultural, and home-heating markets. AWF is comprised of 400+ employees and holds operations at 11 locations, generating over $100M in annual sales revenue. We are currently seeking a candidate for the Maintenance Manager role in our Marshall, TX facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Five (5) Plus Years of Supervisory Experience
- Exceptional Leadership, Team Building, and Organizational Skills
- Skilled with Mechanical and Electrical background. Certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electrical systems
- PLC Programming and Troubleshooting is preferred.
- Limited travel requirements (potentially to other AWF plants as needed)
- Although this is a 1st shift position, must be willing to work flexible hours/days as required based on the maintenance needs of the plant
- Previous experience with a computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred.
- Previous experience with wheeled Loader, knuckle booms, skid steer & semi-trailer repair is a plus
- Due to the nature of our business, American Wood Fibers requires a tobacco and smoke-free environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of Maintenance Staff, including scheduling and team development
- Maintaining and implementing preventive maintenance in work order program
- Ensure that maintenance operations perform efficiently, safely and quality work
- Provide leadership of personnel and insure good communication between Maintenance and operations
- Insure coverage for manufacturing operation schedule, machine repair and project implementation
- Management and procurement of spare parts.
- Documentation of time & work performed in computer-based maintenance management program on a daily basis
- Review & approval of maintenance team work orders for closure in computer-based maintenance management program.
