About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for identifying, recommending, and coordinating engineered solutions for the installation, maintenance, and operation of heavy industrial machinery in the manufacturing facility in order to improve overall plant maintenance. This position will support efficient manufacturing systems and standards of operations and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant Management to provide maintenance support.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field preferred
  • Five (5) years of industrial experience working heavy manufacturing equipment, utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in the manufacturing and repair of tooling and die components preferred
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Certification in Industrial or Electrical Maintenance preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of electrical (24vdc-480 vac)
  • Knowledge of PLCs
  • General Mechanical Ability
  • Ability to manage and track projects
  • Knowledge of machine tooling components based on drawings or reproducing from existing components
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft suite of products
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems

Responsibilities

  • Implements preventive and predictive maintenance for plant operations, machinery and equipment.
  • Initiates and supervises maintenance optimization activities and schedules
  • Provides oversight, troubleshoots, and programming of Programmable Logics Controls (PLCs).
  • Prepares and maintains the maintenance and utility budget in conjunction with Plant Manager
  • Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contract for construction and acquisitions.
  • Contributes substantially to capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manages vendor maintenance contracts
  • Works with and ensures all work performed by outside Contractors meet Advance, OSHA & NEC requirements.
  • Orders equipment parts and maintains a spare parts inventory
  • Coordinates maintenance technician training – directs the training of employees in electrical, electronic, Tool and die, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations
  • Suggests changes/improvements in working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and/or maintenance crews.
  • Maintains records and compliance in accordance with local State and Federal Environmental requirements
  • After hours call-ins
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
