About The Position

The Maintenance Manager oversees the Community safety program, ensuring a secure environment for residents and staff in compliance with regulations. This role involves sustaining a preventative maintenance program for all community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. The manager is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and leading the maintenance team, while also performing maintenance duties alongside the team for approximately 20% of their time. Key responsibilities include efficiently completing maintenance requests, managing chemical supply inventory, implementing safety protocols (including OSHA compliance), performing exterior maintenance, and conducting fire and disaster preparedness drills. The role also emphasizes compassionate resident engagement, fostering a supportive environment that reflects the company's values.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire

Responsibilities

  • Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
  • Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
  • Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
  • Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
  • Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
  • Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
  • Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
  • Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
