About The Position

The Maintenance Manager position is located in Litchfield Park, AZ. This role involves managing a team and ensuring equipment availability for all material handling and facility-related equipment through daily involvement and a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) program. The manager will provide leadership, direction, training, and guidance to associates, specifically focusing on production sewing machines, Eton conveyors, Heat tunnels, and Gerber automated cutting equipment for the furniture upholstery business, aiming for 99.9% uptime. Responsibilities include planning, designing, budgeting, and facilitating projects, designing and programming control systems, managing and monitoring budgets for compliance, minimizing the use of outside services, and ensuring competitive pricing on goods and services. The role also requires maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, leading by example, supporting company values, managing productivity, accuracy, and efficiency, meeting metrics, driving continuous improvement, and providing written documentation on all maintenance activities. The manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and employment laws and regulations, and working cooperatively with peers and subordinates. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
At least 5 years’ previous supervisory/management experience in an industrial maintenance environment or in a distribution environment
Electrical and mechanical knowledge including hands-on experience
Proven ability to design, develop, and program controls systems
Computer literate to include Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
Understanding of power distribution requirements
Ability to read blueprints and diagrams
Must be a strong team leader and able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree in a related field
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controls experience

Manage the maintenance team to ensure equipment availability on all production sewing machines, Eton conveyors, Heat tunnels, and Gerber automated cutting equipment related to furniture upholstery business.
Insure 99.9% uptime on all production equipment.
Plan, design, budget and facilitate projects related to furniture upholstery business and or Distribution.
Design, develop, and program controls systems.
Manage and monitor the budget to ensure compliance in all areas.
Eliminate the use of outside services as often as possible.
Ensure we are getting the competitive price on all goods and services purchased.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment through prevention, safety education and awareness, problem correction, improved employee training, and communication to all levels.

Manage the productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the distribution staff.
Meet all required metrics and set new standards as the operation progresses.
Drive continuous improvement and customer service.
Provide written documentation on all maintenance activities to include system malfunctions, weekly timesheets, dollars spent on supplies, inventory accuracy, projects plan and results, and projects planned.
Responsible for ensuring continued compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety and employment laws and regulations.
Works harmoniously and cooperatively with peers and subordinates.
