About The Position

IPEX is a North American leader in thermoplastic piping systems, committed to safety, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Pineville Extrusion facility. In this role, you will lead maintenance operations across the plant, ensuring equipment reliability, facility performance, and workplace safety. You'll have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead capital projects, develop talent, and play a key role in supporting production and operational success.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree required.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors.
  • Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
  • Industrial electrical systems and controls.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Motors, drives, and process instrumentation.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all maintenance activities, including repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, facility maintenance, and capital projects.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Prioritize maintenance work based on safety, quality, production needs, and business impact.
  • Manage maintenance and capital budgets while tracking expenditures and project costs.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Drive equipment reliability, downtime reduction, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and technical data.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Lead 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
  • Participate in audits, management of change reviews, and process improvement projects.
