About The Position

Iron Oak Energy is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its Tunnel City, WI facility. This role is crucial for supporting the Operations team by ensuring the safe definition, planning, and completion of process-related maintenance activities. The Maintenance Manager will collaborate with operations, maintenance supervisors, contractors, plant and mine operations, and the technical services group to meet production targets and maintain mechanical/electrical availability. The position emphasizes leadership in safety culture, asset management, team development, and efficient maintenance practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience and a bachelor's degree, OR 10+ years of experience in maintenance in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising a maintenance team or other related front-line supervisory experience.
  • Heavy industrial experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree strongly preferred (electrical, mechanical, industrial, mining, electronic or automation fields).

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the mechanical and electrical availability of all plant equipment through strategies for improving maintenance performance, including training, PM development, and CMMS.
  • Lead the development of an overall asset management program incorporating predictive technologies, maintenance data, and work history.
  • Provide leadership to prioritize work assignments to maximize employee productivity and optimize equipment utilization.
  • Lead a team of multi-disciplinary supervisors and hourly workforce to continuously improve performance.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained in maintenance areas.
  • Conduct field audits to measure team performance.
  • Set priority of resources and work schedules in conjunction with the Operations Manager to achieve production plans.
  • Interface with supply chain for the purchase of spares, repairs, and warranty issues.
  • Work with outside vendors for technical assistance, resources, and training support.
  • Build effective working relationships with all departments through participation at meetings and promoting cooperative interaction.
  • Provide leadership by administering fair and consistent personnel policy.
  • Provide leadership in the effective implementation and support of a work order-based, preventive maintenance program.
  • Provide input for formulating and defining policy at the plant and mine level.
  • Direct, monitor, and coach subordinates, observing their effectiveness and conducting performance reviews.
  • Review reports and work plans; perform spot inspections of equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance for failure analysis on related components in conjunction with equipment manufacturers.
  • Direct and oversee all maintenance contractors and service providers, including selection, scheduling, safety compliance, work quality, cost management, and performance evaluation.
