The Maintenance Manager is responsible for establishing the duties and activities of positions that directly and/or indirectly report to them. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and acts as the EMS Plant Representative for environmental legal and related requirements, including oversight of waste, regulatory auditing, spill response, and general assistance. The Manager participates in the selection, development, training, and discipline of the Maintenance Team, which includes the Weld Engineer, Controls Engineer, Maintenance/Maintenance Skilled Team Members, and Maintenance Area Manager. They support and maintain all engineering/maintenance functions in the plant, corporate exercises, and design programs related to OSHA regulations, ergonomics, equipment safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves monitoring and maintaining repairs, maintenance, preventative, and predictive tasks for all equipment and the facility. Communication with customers, corporate, and plant personnel is key to resolving safety, quality, and throughput concerns. The Manager supports continuous improvement and cost savings activities using technical and advanced techniques, and prepares/implements changes to improve plant measurable included in the Midway Operating System (MOS). Participation in production and shift-to-shift meetings is expected, delivering on issues needing specific attention to meet customer requirements and making recommendations for task accomplishment. Responsibilities also include maintaining confidentiality, open and honest communication, enforcing Company policies and guidelines, adhering to all safety regulations, and having the authority to stop production operations for safety or quality concerns.
