About The Position

Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Aberdeen, SD. This leadership role is crucial for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility. The Maintenance Manager will lead and support the maintenance team, coordinate maintenance activities and contractors, and develop preventative and proactive maintenance practices to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in biofuels processes or a closely related industry in Maintenance Management, with progressive roles and responsibilities.
Engineering degree from an accredited school AND Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive roles of responsibility.
Working knowledge of industrial maintenance equipment and systems, including centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, equipment, and 4–20 milliamp instrumentation.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, develop, and support maintenance team members.
Plan and coordinate preventative, corrective, and proactive maintenance activities.
Manage maintenance projects, schedules, contractors, vendors, parts, and supplies.
Partner with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, EHS, Lab, and other departments to maximize plant performance.
Assist with annual repair and maintenance budgets and capital expense planning.
Maintain appropriate spare-parts inventory to help minimize plant downtime.
Track preventative and corrective maintenance work orders and backlog.
Support shutdown planning, equipment reliability, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Lead by example while building a collaborative, accountable, and team-focused maintenance department.
