About The Position

As the Maintenance - Liquid Bulk Receiver Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs at the Quebec City facility, ensuring everything operates smoothly and safely. This role involves handling preventive maintenance and repairs on paint production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, valve actuators, high-speed dispersers belt engines, and filtration systems. You will also be responsible for daily inspections of plant forklifts, following 5S rules, conducting floor audits, and performing monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and emergency lights. Additionally, the role includes maintaining clean floors and walls, handling painting tasks as needed at the end of the production season (October to March), receiving and unloading liquid bulk trucks according to PPG rules, supervising external contractors as needed, and collaborating with other site personnel where help is required (e.g., at the filling station and at the shipping/receiving departments).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Analytical and observation skills needed.
  • IT knowledge (Ex: Maintenance software FIXX).
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to drive a forklift (training available).
  • Availability outside regular hours during the high season (March to September).
  • Fluency in French and English required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle preventive maintenance and the repairs on our paint production equipment.
