The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain all production equipment. This involves providing maintenance and mechanical support to production teams by troubleshooting equipment, understanding instrumentation, and performing necessary repairs. The role includes assembling, installing, dismantling, and repairing machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. Additionally, the individual will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, planning and performing operations for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment within the facility. General repairs to various machines and equipment are also required, involving tearing down units, determining issues, repairing or replacing defective parts like bearings, gears, and shafts, and reassembling. The position also entails installing and wiring motors for standard and special purpose machines, moving equipment using forklifts and hoists, and installing all types of conduit. Ordinary machining operations using tools like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses are part of the job, as is welding using TIG, stick, or MIG. Compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices is essential. The role also involves maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory, ensuring maintenance requests and work orders are completed, and accurately recording hours and materials. The ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics is necessary. Participation in the company safety program and maintaining clean work areas are also expected.
