The Maintenance Leader is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for maintenance performance across two production lines. You’ll own equipment reliability, lead loss‑prevention efforts, and help build strong, capable operating teams. Partnering closely with line teams, Reliability, and Operations, you’ll plan and execute maintenance activities, improve PM and AM effectiveness, and drive fast, sustainable defect resolution. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or maintenance environment
  • Maintenance or technical background with hands‑on experience supporting production equipment
  • Experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment, preferably in Food & Beverage
  • Basic to intermediate SAP experience required, including work order entry, maintenance tracking, or system navigation
  • Ability to track, review, and escalate daily maintenance or operational data
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Demonstrated ability to support and influence peers in a team‑based environment
  • Willingness to take ownership of assigned equipment and line performance with guidance and support
  • Exposure to equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance (PM), autonomous maintenance (AM), or mechanical processes
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated interest in learning, development, and growth in a maintenance or operations career
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to team‑based decision‑making

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree, certification, or coursework in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems preferred
  • Experience in a lead operator, coordinator, or informal leadership role preferred
  • Familiarity with daily management systems (DDS, tier meetings, shift huddles) preferred
  • Basic understanding of continuous improvement concepts (Lean, IWS, TPM)

Responsibilities

  • Own maintenance performance for two assigned production lines, including reliability, uptime, and maintenance‑related losses
  • Track, analyze, and eliminate breakdowns, chronic losses, and recurring defects
  • Identify, prioritize, and close line defects with urgency and discipline
  • Lead maintenance planning for assigned lines, including: Downday planning, Daily planned stop planning and execution, Overhaul readiness
  • Ensure proper PM execution to support equipment reliability and asset health
  • Coach and assess PM and AM standards, solutions, and mitigation strategies
  • Track and prioritize resolution of equipment defects identified by line teams
  • Ensure timely corrective actions and follow‑through
  • Share learnings and insights with the Reliability Execution Team to improve standards and future designs
  • Build maintenance and equipment capability within operating teams
  • Provide hands‑on coaching on equipment care, PM execution, troubleshooting, and loss elimination
  • Serve as a technical and maintenance role model on the line
  • Participate in Line DDS, Line Structure Team meetings, and shift huddles
  • Serve as the key maintenance voice in daily and weekly operating rhythms
  • Partner with Operations, Reliability, and Maintenance teams to ensure aligned execution
  • Support a culture of ownership, accountability, and teamwork
  • Encourage team participation through structured systems and engagement routines
  • Model safe, quality‑focused, and disciplined execution
  • Participate in Elevated Team Member University to build leadership and technical capability
  • Engage in technical development programs to prepare for future growth opportunities
