Maintenance Lead
About The Position
Legacy is seeking a full-time Maintenance Lead to provide support for two properties located in Grand Rapids, MI. As the Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for completing and tracking residential work orders in a timely manner and for performing general maintenance and repair duties. Additionally, the Maintenance Lead will be responsible for supervising other maintenance staff, vendor relations, inventory control, and may assist with property inspections. The Maintenance Lead will work different shifts, including on-call, emergencies, weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Providing exceptional customer service and the ability to work independently is necessary to be successful.
Requirements
- Three or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in plumbing, electrical and structural repair
- Experience with drywall repairs and painting
- Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Customer service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Must own your own tools
- Travel required, must have a valid license and reliable transportation
