About The Position

Wendover Management, LLC is seeking an outstanding, experienced Maintenance Lead to join our team in the Greater Tampa, FL area. We are looking for a Maintenance Lead with high energy, expert communication, relationship-building skills, and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to embrace a shared responsibility environment and work with a diverse group of people while keeping a strong sense of ownership attitude.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the multifamily industry is required.
  • HVAC license required
  • CPO license required
  • The ability to operate a vehicle and a driver’s license is required according to community needs.
  • Light carpentry, drywall repair and texture, and painting
  • Must have experience in appliance repair, compressor diagnosis, etc.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e., pool operations, maintenance, electricians, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT), preferred
  • Computer literacy is a plus but not required.
  • Must be adaptable; able to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the physical assets, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventive maintenance for the community.
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance activities for the apartment community and maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and respond to resident/management requests and service requests for occupied units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electronic systems, all major appliances, and other systems in the community (phone jacks, irrigation systems, etc.)
  • Coordinate, schedule, and prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
  • Identify and correct hazardous community conditions.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and apartments.
  • Ordering supplies and managing maintenance budget.
  • May be requested to assist in other community areas, including office support, etc.
  • Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
  • Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
