About The Position

Wendover Management, LLC is seeking an outstanding, experienced Maintenance Lead to join our team in the Greater Tampa, FL area. We are looking for a Maintenance Lead with high energy, expert communication, relationship-building skills, and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to embrace a shared responsibility environment and work with a diverse group of people while keeping a strong sense of ownership attitude.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the multifamily industry is required.
HVAC license required
CPO license required
The ability to operate a vehicle and a driver’s license is required according to community needs.
Light carpentry, drywall repair and texture, and painting
Must have experience in appliance repair, compressor diagnosis, etc.
Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e., pool operations, maintenance, electricians, etc.).
Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT), preferred
Computer literacy is a plus but not required.
Must be adaptable; able to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Oversees the physical assets, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventive maintenance for the community in coordination with the Community Manager.
Supervises and schedules maintenance activities for the apartment community and maintenance staff under the direction of the Community Manager.
Coordinates, schedules, and responds to resident/management requests and service requests for occupied units.
Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electronic systems, all major appliances, and other systems in the community (phone jacks, irrigation systems, etc.).
Coordinates, schedules, and prepares vacant apartments for move-in.
Identifies and corrects hazardous community conditions.
Coordinates, schedules, and performs preventative maintenance on equipment and apartments.
Orders supplies and manages the maintenance budget.
Assists in other community areas, including office support, as requested.
Assists with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
