We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facility’s mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong troubleshooting abilities, HVAC experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace. The Maintenance Lead Technician will supervise daily maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, and provide technical support to the maintenance team.

Requirements

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (Required)
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of: HVAC systems, Electrical troubleshooting, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Mechanical systems, Preventive maintenance
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Certification preferred (or equivalent HVAC technical training)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and vendor relationships

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and building maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Manage daily work orders and maintenance priorities.
  • Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
  • Inspect facilities regularly and recommend repairs or improvements.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
  • Train maintenance personnel on proper procedures and safety practices.
