We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facility’s mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong troubleshooting abilities, HVAC experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace. The Maintenance Lead Technician will supervise daily maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, and provide technical support to the maintenance team.
Requirements
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of: HVAC systems, Electrical troubleshooting, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Mechanical systems, Preventive maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces when necessary.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC Certification preferred (or equivalent HVAC technical training)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and vendor relationships
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and building maintenance issues.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Manage daily work orders and maintenance priorities.
- Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
- Inspect facilities regularly and recommend repairs or improvements.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
- Train maintenance personnel on proper procedures and safety practices.
