About The Position

Ingredion is looking for a Maintenance Lead, Mechanical Shop to lead a high-performing Mechanical Shop team and drive safe, reliable plant performance by partnering with Operations and Engineering to deliver maintenance excellence.

Requirements

  • Certificate of Qualification in a skilled trade OR technician/technologist diploma in a related field, plus relevant maintenance/manufacturing experience.
  • Previous leadership experience (leading technicians, crews, or shop teams).
  • Knowledge and application of safe working practices in an industrial environment.
  • Experience using SAP (maintenance, work orders, parts, or planning).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote Safety, Health, Environmental, and Employment Standards, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the Mechanical Shop Technician team and Mechanical Shop Department, building a self-directed, engaged work team.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Engineering to plan and execute maintenance and reliability activities that support plant requirements.
  • Partner with technicians and peers to hit production targets and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate consistently through daily interactions and regular crew meetings to align priorities, progress, and expectations.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to improve performance and strengthen technical capability.
  • Support planning, decision-making, and execution in a dynamic manufacturing environment, managing priorities with urgency.
