POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Lead - Bottling plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of industrial facilities by overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities. This position is based in our Feversham facility, is a straight day shift, and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The role involves leadership, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety to maintain equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. The Maintenance Lead ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Valid Certificate of Qualification as a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or 309A/442A Electrician (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging or manufacturing environment - Bottling experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience leading a team of maintenance technicians - providing guidance, training, and direction
  • Strong electrical and PLC knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance software
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-change environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety standards and Lockout procedures
  • Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide positive direction
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine appropriate actions
  • Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects
  • Repair, install, align, dismantle, and move equipment and production lines
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication of equipment
  • Ensure operation and maintenance (predictive and preventive) of production equipment and assets, identifying irregularities and malfunctions
  • Maintain a solid understanding of mechanical workflow and resolve issues within production lines, machinery, and the maintenance team
  • Be available to work as required, including an on-call component
