About The Position

Our Bottling team in Wausau plays a critical role in this mission by transforming blended probiotic products into finished, high-quality goods used in a wide range of downstream applications. You’ll join a team of skilled, supportive operators who take pride in doing great work, operating safely, and helping one another succeed. Together, you’ll ensure products are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. The Role & Your Impact As a Lead Operator – Bottling (Weekends), you will lead by example on the production floor while actively operating equipment and supporting your fellow operators. You’ll ensure safe, efficient operations, accurate documentation, and strong communication across the team. Your work directly contributes to producing high-quality goods that support our customers and uphold Novonesis’ commitment to safety, quality, and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating machinery with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food, supplements, and/or pharmaceuticals.
  • Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Awareness of Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
  • Strong understanding of personal hygiene standards, especially in food or supplement production.
  • Ability to re-prioritize tasks throughout the day as conditions change.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food, supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Comfort supporting and coaching peers on the production floor.
  • Willingness to suggest improvements to daily priorities or processes.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and training systems.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating bottling equipment and performing basic troubleshooting.
  • Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling machines according to procedures.
  • Accurately completing and reviewing all required production documentation.
  • Staying current on all required training and GMP expectations.
  • Communicating issues, priorities, and improvement ideas to management and maintenance.
  • Supporting and guiding team members by clarifying expectations and daily priorities.
