  • Able to kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward spaces to repair equipment.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
  • Prolonged periods standing.

  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
  • Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.

  • May work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Mechanics in performing light maintenance tasks, which may involve assisting with inspections, repairs, lubrication, or other basic maintenance duties under their guidance.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks around the facility, including the yard and office areas.
  • Be willing to handle a variety of duties that can range from requiring some skill to routine maintenance and upkeep.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using a variety of hand tools commonly used for maintenance tasks, including properly selecting, handling, and maintaining tools for efficient and safe operation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Aid mechanics when needed, such as retrieving tools, organizing materials, or supporting tasks related to equipment repairs or maintenance.
  • Actively participate in Safety Training Programs and on-the-job learning opportunities.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting and general upkeep duties around the facility.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties such as mowing, cutting, trimming, and spraying trees, grass, shrubs, and other vegetation.
  • Perform duties such as shoveling of snow, dirt, and gravel.
  • Assist in inventory management and upkeep.
  • Collaborate effectively with Mechanics and other team members to accomplish maintenance tasks and ensure smooth operations.
