About The Position

This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction in order to prepare you for your next promotion.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING
  • Must be willing to work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection))
  • Must undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
  • Must undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
  • Must undergo an job related health assessment as a condition of employment
  • Must submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
  • Must be willing to work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Must be willing to work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
  • Must be willing to work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Must wear required safety equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or certification(s) in any of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, WELDING, or PIPEFITTING
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Perform welding or brazing as needed
  • Perform field measurements and installations as needed
  • Assemble and install pipes, and valves according to lay-out plan, blueprints and other drawings
  • Fabricate structural materials and pipes as needed
  • Conduct pressure testing to ensure integrity
  • Understand specifications and regulations related to plumbing and piping systems
  • Other duties as assigned
