Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of inventory control, warehouse, stockroom, or maintenance storeroom experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and inventory management software required.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory records.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Maintenance, Purchasing, Operations, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience using CMMS software (ManagerPlus, Eptura, or similar) preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment, and industrial supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming maintenance materials.
  • Match packing slips to purchase orders, verify quantities received, and obtain required signatures.
  • Scan packing slips and upload digital copies into the purchasing system.
  • Receive inventory into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify shortages, overstocked items, and reorder needs.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Complete month-end inventory audits and ensure the entire maintenance storeroom is physically inventoried annually.
  • Organize, label, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient maintenance storeroom.
  • Maintain proper stock rotation and storage practices.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records within the CMMS (ManagerPlus/Eptura).
  • Remove obsolete parts and update inventory records as equipment changes occur.
  • Maintain data integrity through accurate documentation and timely system updates.
  • Assist with inventory reporting and tracking using Microsoft Excel.
  • Maintain the maintenance part criticality system (High, Medium, Low) in collaboration with maintenance leadership.
  • Assist maintenance technicians in locating and issuing parts needed for repairs.
  • Support the Maintenance Planner by preparing parts kits for scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Purchasing, and vendors to ensure critical parts remain available.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory organization, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Distribute incoming UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and other deliveries to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Prepare and ship outbound packages as needed.
  • Maintain organized receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and storeroom organization.
  • Promote 5S principles and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support maintenance operations.
