Inventory Coordinator
About The Position
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Inventory Coordinator. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining the accuracy of all NSA in-process and finished product inventory while driving system and process improvements. Key responsibilities include generating daily shipping reports, managing claims, investigating missing coils and inventory discrepancies, performing cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy, tracking storage facility inventory, and monitoring inventory on hold. This position plays a critical role in supporting and streamlining Shipping Department operations. The Inventory Coordinator serves as a key liaison between Operations, Sales, Planning, and Shipping teams and must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Success in this role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with a high level of attention to detail. This position requires working in varying weather conditions and may include weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Two or more years of inventory management, manufacturing, steel industry, or related experience
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous inventory management or related experience
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics operations
- Experience with IntelliTrans, CarrierPoint, or similar platforms
- Experience using Power BI and AI-driven tools, and AS400
- Bachelor’s degree
